Come join us for the 23d annual HCIF Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

May 31 - June 3, 2012

The Heard Museum, which we will visit on Thursday, has more than 32,000 artifacts, including the famous Barry Goldwater collection of Kachina Dolls.  There are Native American cultural artifacts and a large collection of jewelry.  The special exhibit during May and June is devoted to Geronimo, the Apache chief.  We will also visit the nearby Phoenix Art Museum.  Take a photo tour of the Heard Museum here.  Lunch will be available at the highly rated restaurants in each museum.

Our featured speakers will be Robert Doares and Barbara Wood, whose research on Haviland we, as members of HCIF, have all supported through grants from HCIEF.  They will not  disappoint.  As many of you know they revealed early Haviland vases and dinnerware never before seen by us at the Williamsburg Conference and spoke at the San Jose Conference.  They have promised to reveal a new discovery in Phoenix in their keynote speech Thursday evening.

Our exhibit will celebrate Richard Burnham's collection of Hayes Presidential Haviland china and other Presidential items.

Show and tell will be exciting, so bring your new infatuation or an old favorite piece of Haviland.  The Saturday Benefit Auctions and the Sunday Sale are always highlights of our conferences.

For those who wish to come to Phoenix early or stay after the conference, it is possible to take a one-day tour to the Grand Canyon for under $200.00 per person.  One of the seven great natural wonders, it is not to be missed if you haven't already seen it.

Designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright, Taliesin West is a few miles northeast of Scottsdale.  You might want to visit it as well.  Wright also designed several homes located in Phoenix.

Among other points of interest, there is a newly opened museum devoted to music and musical instruments.  You can also visit the Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum in downtown Phoenix and the Rosson House at Cooper Square, also in Phoenix.

You all come, y'hear?  (Six shooters checked at the door - mustn't break the china.) Registration packets will be available on our website and mailed in early March.
